Christian Podder Hosting Podcast
Jan 19th, 2006 by Kevin Purcell
Christian Podder is Christian Podcasting service highlighted in this month’s Christian Computing Magazine. I just uploaded, my last episode of Pulpit Housecalls to their servers and I think this might be a real boon to my podcast. I was actually considering no longer doing the Pulpit Housecalls Podcast, but they might inspire me to continue doing it. Look in my next month’s article at CCMag for a Howto in doing a simple podcast.
You can listen to my podcast here:

Unfortunately, they are a little slow. I just checked and mine is not yet ready for download. But hopefully it will be soon.
UPDATE: Well they have it up, but now it sounds like the Chipmunks. I’ve emailed them and am waiting to find out what I did, or what they did wrong.
UPDATE 2: Let me say I am quite impressed. I recommended this website based on my editor’s article in Christian Computing Magazine. Then, I uploaded my podcast in the wrong format, something that was mentioned by I was not careful enough to share it. So Bert Young from ChristianPodder.com not only answered why my podcast sounded funny, but he also too the time to first download my podcast from my own site, fix it, and then upload it to ChristianPodder on my hehalf. I would have expected someone to tell me how to fix the problem, but I would not have expected anyone to go through all of this. So I am very impressed with their service. I do wish they had RSS syndication or the ability to link directly to your podcast’s audio file from your own site. But they are off to a very good start.
The podcast sounds great and I love ChristianPodder.com. I may be biased though. Give it a chance.
So, why would you discontinue this website? It’s my first look, but I think it can be a great resource for my preaching. I blog, but just as a hobby and to interact with some types of people I never meet in church. It is rewarding.
God bless, and please keep it up.
