We just got an email from Samaritan’s Purse telling us that our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes went to Botswana this Christmas.  Here are some pictures of the kids opening the boxes sent there by people all over the world.  If you care to you can to the site yourself by clicking the picture or here.

These houses are on Fort Caswell, the North Carolina Baptist Assembly center on Oak Island. I shot this early in the cold morning while there for a Minister’s Retreat.

This pier was originally a wooden pier but it was annihilated during the hurricanes in the late 90s while my family lived near there in Delway, NC. I had not been back since this one was built in place of the old one. The sky that day was such a beautiful shade of blue and the water was that wonderful aqua color.

I took this one at Fort Caswell while I was at a Minister’s Retreat. These pelicans were just flying along the beach as I snapped away. I tried to fix it a little in Photoshop, but may have overdone it. I also had my Circular Polarizer on the lens and that may have given it too much blue. But despite that, I still like the shot.

People often pump their fists in the air to say, “I’m number 1.”  But here is a site that wants you to know these people are not number 1.  They are 2nd.
