It has been a real challenge for Obama to overcome the claims that he is a Muslim. Does it matter? Not unless he is lying and saying he is a Christian just to appeal to the majority of America that claims Christianity. But given that he has a father that was a Muslim, a brother who is a Muslim and went to a private Muslim school, then maybe he is. So lets ask him. Listen to this and decide for yourself.
What do you think? Feel free to comment below.

What is “wordle”? It is a way of analyzing speeches, articles, or anything made up of words. Some are using it to analyze the scriptures. It takes the words of a work and arranges them visually to show what words were used the most. They are actually nice to look at. Someone took the words of the convention speeches by the various politicians. And they are interesting to look at.
Barack Obama’s Speech
Having heard his speech this seems about right. He talked a lot about America and made a lot of promises and talked about promise. He also slammed John McCain quite a bit.
Sarah Palin’s Speech
Now the media complained that she was so negative. yet you barely see mention of the man. I know she just didn’t use his name. But even the words she did use to reference him are not as prominent as McCain, America, country, and man.
John McCain’s Speech
As you can see he talked more about America and the country than anything else. and he doesn’t mention Obama much at all. Nor did he really spend much time slamming him either. Instead his was the most specific of all the main candidates.

I approve of it too, John!

Here is the other line of attack the Dems will be using against Gov. Palin. An October surprise on the investigation of her firing of an Alaska official named Walt Monegan. At issue is whether she fired him for not firing her ex-brother-in-law when he and Palin’s sister were divorced.
ABC is reporting that the investigation by a Democratic state senator named Hollis French will release their findings in early October instead of October 31st as originally planned.
You can bet that his investigation will suddenly have a great deal more help from the DNC. And you can also be sure that almost no matter what he finds in his investigation that it will be distorted and used to smear Gov. Palin.
If you want to read more about what the investigation is all about, you can. Basically, she had a brother-in-law who abused his power as an Alaska State Trooper and made death threats Sarah, her sister, and their father. She wanted the man in charge of the troopers to do something about the brother-in-law and he was unwilling. This email tells what the problems were. But the man would not fire him. She hired him and could fire him at her whim. But she did not until she later learned of other problems and incompetence on his part.
But you can be assured that this will get ugly soon, if it hasn’t already!

I don’t know if this is a joke, or serious. But it is strangely appealing even to me. I’ve often been critical of today’s Pop Christian music because it denigrates the most important message in the world to the “bubble gum for the brain” music that is pop. This does that too, and yet I find it strangely appealing!
Someone called this the “Ska” genre of music. Never heard of it but I’m out of touch in that realm of music. Check out this definition from Wikipedia.
Now if you need to get that out of your head (haven’t listened yet, you will need something to get it out of your head if you do)?
Listen to this! It is music as it should be and what Christians today should be producing – real, God glorifying ART!

If you do a Youtube search of Sarah Palin and her church, you will find the way they will be attacking her next. There are a few videos up about her “crazy Rev. Wright” pastor. Rev. Wright is the pastor of Barak Obama who proclaimed that God will “damn America” instead of blessing us. Now God may in fact do that, but you will never hear anyone who loves this country proclaiming it gleefully.
Well, now the lefty crazies will be attacking her by trying to make it seem as if her pastor is much the same. Don’t believe it? They are already there. Of course none of them are in his own words or video of him spouting anti-American rhetoric.
So I did a search myself and found that she used to be a member of the Wasilla Assembly of God Church. I saw they had a link to online sermons. Goldmine, I thought. But that link now has a page saying …
Official Statement Concerning Governor Palin
Governor Sarah Palin did attend Wasilla Assembly of God since the time she was a teen ager. She and her family were a part of the church up until 2002. Since that time she has maintained a friendship with Wasilla Assembly of God and has attended various conferences and special meetings here. This June, the Governor spoke at the graduation service of our School of Ministry, Master’s Commission Wasilla Alaska.
We have had some inquires into Governor Palin’s beliefs. We do know that Gov Palin is a woman of integrity. She is a servant of the people, she is a strong leader. As for her personal beliefs, Governor Palin is well able to speak for herself on those issues.
As Alaskans we are excited about our Governor being selected as the nominee for Vice President. As residents of Wasilla, we are ecstatic about one of our own being thrust to the national forefront. However, as a church, it is not appropriate for us to endorse any one candidate over another. As believers, we are reminded in 2 Peter 2.13 that we are to submit to those in authority. 1 Timothy 2.1-2 tells us pray for those in authority. This we will do no matter who is elected. We wish the best to Governor Palin, and Senator McCain, as well as to Senator Obama and Senator Biden.
May God continue to bless America.
Did you see that last line? “May God continue to bless America!” What a difference. Then peruse their page and you will learn that not only is this church not a hate filled place, but they are doing good work trying to help people get over their addictions, supporting an African ministry in Kenya under the leadership of a man named Bishop Thomas Muthee.
You watch! They will be trying to pull a Rev. Wright slam on Palin within a week. Or maybe they will hide it until just before the election. But it is coming.

While most of us have just heard of her, there is one man who took notice of
her a long time ago. This man has a blog about drafting her for the Vice Presidential nomination. And he was right! We can see after her speech that she is the person for the job.
Her selection has gotten many of us excited about the republican ticket again. I am an Independent because I was tired of Republicans claiming to be for small government while they pumped the size of government to new highs. But Sarah Palin has a record of actually doing what most of want from our Republican politicians. So I am planning to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin and I urge you to do the same!

Wow! That was a surprise. I would say a pleasant surprise. As a Christian who is deeply concerned about the abortion issue, this is a couple who didn’t just say they believe in Pro-Life! They put it in action when they learned that their recently born son Trigg was going to be born with Down’s Syndrome.
